Modeling Arcimboldo, 1986, Tuscany
--Paul Suttman lived a life of rich adventure. Car and jewelry designer, architect, ceramist, fellow at the American Academy in Rome, jazz aficionado, bit player in a Hollywood movie, noted chef and raconteur, all figure in his resume. But first and foremost, he was a sculptor of international renown and enormous talent. He revived both forms and subjects from disparate sources in earlier art, and gave them new, and hugely personal life.
